Uncut Thoughts

I love how my daughter views the world and things she encounters.Growing up I did not hear encouraging words, they were usually words that tore me down to the point that I felt I was nothing...that I had no value. Those words went with me through childhood and into adult life until I found Christ and He began to remove those words and replace them with HIS. (Song of Song 4:7)
One thing Matt and I have vowed is to give our Children words of value....every day they hear that they are a prince and princess of the Most High God. I let my daughter know how beautiful she is and that Jesus made her and she is important to Him. That He values her. That she is a treasure.

I never knew how much she listened and took in my words until the other night when we were praying. I looked at her and said, "You are the best daughter in the whole world." Without a beat she put her little hand on my cheek and said, "You're the bestest mommy...you are beautiful, your nose is beautiful, your brown eyes are beautiful, your curly hair is beautiful, your eyelashes are beautiful....you're beautiful. I like you, I love you, I love you, I like you."She then blew a kiss to JESUS.

My prayer is that she continues to see her value as a princess of the Most High God...even in the midst of our society that distorts who we are...who we were created to be.

She has taught me much....

I just love reading your blogs. They inspire me. Just the little time that I have known you, I can see the beauty and love that you have for the Lord. I can see the love that you have for your children and Matt too. You are a great person.
