Heaven's Dance

At 1:28 Friday morning my grandma "danced" over the threshhold of heaven.

Some of you know that my grandparents raised my older brother and me. When we came to live with them the last time I was all prickles and spines and yet they loved me through that and prayed daily that I would give my life to the Lord. They sent me to a Christian College where I met the Lord my freshman year and become a committed, passionate follower of HIS. Thank You Lord, for placing me in the home of my grandparents.

Below are a few thoughts regarding my grandma.

As the door of her heart opened to Him so many years ago she dreamed of the day she would waltz with Him.

Years of walking through struggles and triumphs and at times they seemed dark, yet it was the light beyond the door that she knew one day she would be.

The melody He set in her heart gave her the beat to continue on through sickness and disease. Loss and gain. Sadness and laughter. Forgetfulness and old memories.

Even though she could no long express with voice what was on her heart, all you had to do was look in her eyes as she gazed out the window to know....it was the light beyond the door that gave her strength.

As her eyes closed and she struggled for breath...she was finally arriving to the light beyond the door...

Behind the door stood the ONE who gave her life so many years ago. For He is the LIGHT that would now make her whole.

Even though she took her last breath here....LIFE has truly begun with the LIGHT OF JESUS...beyond the door.....

Merry Christmas, Grandma!
