Teacher of "The Dance"

Taken from our Family Blog:
Chronicles of Judah

The Chronicles of Judah are about the Thompson happenings as we live in the AUTISM World and more.

Teacher of "The Dance"

My precious daughter did something today…actually something she does often and that is “dance” her way through every activity. She dances to the TV. She dances to her room. She dances to the bathroom…she dances. Nothing stops her from the pure joy of dancing.

I don’t recall doing this as a child when I lived with my parents. I only remember one time looking up and seeing my mom smiling at me as I sang my math problems. We grew up inhibited. We had to be silent and not show any emotion.

I watch my children and marvel at their freedom and totally love it! I have no desire to hurry Faith along out of her dancing because she exudes joy.

I have a dear friend who is 59 this year. She exudes joy. She dances before her Lord…she is HIS little girl. She dances, uninhibited as if she and the Lord were the only people in the room. I love that about her. I pray as my relationship and journey with Christ continues to grow that He unleashes the “dance” that has been inhibited in me so that I may freely and spontaneously dance before Him in praise…overcome with joy.

My Faithy Girl has become my teacher today. Thank you, Lord for my little, uninhibited girl…may she grow too freely and spontaneously praise You always with her “dance”.
"Let them praise His name with dancing and make music to Him with tambourine and harp. For the Lord takes delight in His people; He crowns the humble with salvation." Psalm 149:3,4
