Tailgateless....(angelisms)

Another Thompson Adventure

I am chuckling because there are too many words to place in just "what are you thinking."

I am not sure if you remember when we first moved here March 2008. This was our first Grape Jamboree experience and for our Church to have part of this incredible event with a booth, bounce house and nursing/diaper changes stations. This was also the year that, as we drove down the street the night before the Jamboree and set up....our car brakes literally fell off the car. You can read about that adventure with this link: http://radicalpw.blogspot.com/2008/10/screecher-preacher.html

Now, here we are in 2010. Matt came home last night after having help with getting things ready for this years Grape Jamboree which starts today. He shared with a chuckle....so, the truck has a flat tire. Oh, yeah and the tail gate fell off. Matt was so happy to finally have a truck so he could haul things....it's a man thing to have a truck. I can just hear the TOOL MAN TAYLOR grunt. We bought this truck for nearly pennies and I think we have had to put more into it than what we bought it for...or soon will. I just had to chuckle as we are down to our one vehicle and our truck...with it's flat and tail gate off. Oh poor JAWSIE (That is the name the kids gave the truck). Life is an adventure, yet what makes it amazing is how we view those adventures and how we respond. I know our God is MUCH bigger than a flat, a broken alternator and how a truck that lost it's tail gate. He is much bigger than a weak heart, PANDAS, Autism.....HE IS!
Nahum 1:7 reminds me that "The Lord is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in HIM."

So, to the Screecher Preacher of 2008 and for this years loss of the tail gate at the Grape.....
Rue, our Thompson Adventures maintain our humor, keep our sanity and prove to us that no matter what...Our God's love for us is immeasurable and He is GOOD!
