Story Book....LIFE beyond the cover

My daughter, Faith, has one of the most incredible and vivid imaginations that I have ever encountered apart from my own. She loves to act out stories she has read and watched as well as take on the characters of those personified in those stories. She likes to pretend other characters are her friends and she will even be-friend those who were threatened by the “monster” and states that they are now nice and are “hungry”.
Today she asked me if we lived in a “story book”. At first I said no, yet as I thought about her question I began to realize that we do, in a sense, live in a “story book” and one day our “Prince” will come and take us home…save us from the evil that threatens us everyday. While we are here, our mission is to share where we found “food” to those who have been snared by the “monster”, and show them there is more beyond the door of fear, hate, anger and loss so that they, too, may be in the “story book”…The Lambs Book of Life.
That is truly when the adventure begins!

My question & challenge:
Where are you in regards to the "story book"?
Are you just looking at the cover, reading the back to see if it is something that may interest you? Or, have you opened it, accepted it, become part of The story where your name is down...unmoveable?
Have you started to share your own chapter with those you encounter in this life so they may know the story beyond the cover?
Thank you, my precious Faith, for reminding me once again of THE STORY BOOK and the mission we face and embrace. My prayer for you is that you find Jesus, the Prince whom you have come to trust when you sleep, the one you blow kisses to. That He would be the Prince of your life and that you, too, share your chapter with those you encounter. May He grant you the wisdom, strength, guidance and safety along your journey. Much love my little Hadassah, Mommy.
